I’m a “Hybrid-Orchestral” composer. I love to integrate the orchestra with synthesizers, processed drums, guitars, ethnic instruments, whatever. Everything’s game.
When I became a member of Hans Zimmer’s team at Media Ventures. I worked for Hans for 3 ½ years doing everything from orchestration to even answering the phone if you called after 11:00 at night (we were vampires).
The biggest highlight of that experience was getting to sit right next to Hans and watch him write his scores. He encouraged me to do this, and I took full advantage. I watched him as he crafted the “Burning Bush” scene in Prince of Egypt or working out the themes for Gladiator. It was an education you can’t get anywhere else.
I listen to a lot of different types of music. Current playlist faves would be Jóhann Jóhannsson, Dustin O'Halloran, Robert Ames, Ólafur Arnolds, Nils Frahm, Philip Glass, John Adams, Sean Callery, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Thomas Newman, Michael Giacchino, Jerry Goldsmith and Bernard Herrmann.
Early.
Optimally, we should get the conversation going during pre-production. This gives us the most time to collaborate together.
That being said, I’ve come on board plenty of projects already deep in post. So don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here to help.
I’m very flexible. Best thing to do is contact me and let’s discuss your needs.
Absolutely.
